Where to Eat in MOA: Vikings, Luxury Buffet Restaurant

last month, we tried Buffet 101 (see post here), now because of Ninoy Aquino holiday and the Citibank credit card promo... i immediately called Vikings to make a reservation. Vikings is located at the opposite side of Buffet 101.

dumating kami sa place ng 15 minutes before mag open... as we were only commuters, we walked from MOA to vikings para marami kaming makain! ang layo! malayo pa lang, we can see the crown flocking sa labas... andaming tao...waiting for the opening.... we don't know what to do...kung pipila ba kami or maghihintay....then one of the staff announce over the megaphone na yung may reservation ay pumila lang sa may left side at yung mga walk-in sa sa right... good thing na may reservation kami kung hindi ay sayang ang effort na pumunta. 

maganda ang ambiance sa loob..nakaka relax... parang hotel lobby. but i like the ambiance of Buffet 101 more because of the chandelier.

there are many food choices at Vikings...from European, American, Japanese, Chinese and Filipino dishes. malulula ka! di nga alam kung saan ako magsisimula...

since our table is near the Japanese section... dito ako nagsimula.. napakaraming variety ng sushi at maki... meron ding salmon at tuna.

 after exploring the Japanese section...hinanap ko kaagad yung paborito kong tempura... mahaba ang pila sa tempura... ang maganda dito sa vikings ay niluluto ang tempura sa harap mo...

 and then...nagkagulo na...hehe... please bear with me dahil hindi ko alam i clasify ang mga dishes. here are the pictures...

one good thing about vikings is that they installed washing area sa may dining hall... no need to go to the washroom to wash our hands.

All-time Favorite Jonas Pares

After 4 hours of hydrotherapy, we went directly to Jonas Pares at Mayon-Retiro. "Pares" is the term for pairing beef stew with fried rice. When I was just a child, every time we go to Divisoria, sa pag-uwi ay diretso kami ng Jonas para kumain. They also used to have a branch at Divisoria Mall. Meron din sa may SM San Lazaro kaso parang di masyado malasa gaya ng sa main branch. My dad used to tell me that it was just a small "turo-turo" way back in his college days at UST. Now, malaki na ang improvement ng kanilang lugar. Dahil sa Jonas ang nakalakihan kong "pares"... ayoko ng lasa ng ibang pares house. Jonas pa rin ang best pares for me. The beef is so tender. Sa Jonas din ang best siomai na natikman ko.

A Relaxing Day at Ace Water SPA

ACE Water Spa traces back its concept to word SPA- derived from the Latin Phrase “Salus per Aquam” or “Sanitus per Aquam” meaning Health through Water. Since then, Water has been a vital element in cleansing, relaxing and healing because its curative properties. In England, back in the 16th century, the Romans came up with an idea to undergo “medicinal bathing” to soothe and treat body illnesses by the roman soldiers, thus hydrotherapy was born.

Hydrotherapy massage - is a kind of therapeutic massage that utilizes “Ultrasonic Jet System” that massages specific areas of the body with its aquatic jets strategically located to relax and soothe tired and aching muscles. This treatment is best done in heated water.

I always wanted to try this so called hydrotherapy massage but i didn't have the opportunity because of so many reasons. But then Cash Cash Pinoy (group buying site) offered it for only P299. I immediately purchased 7 vouchers for us.

The price:

As stated on Ace Water Spa website, 4 hours is the ideal time in hydrotherapy massage because prolonged exposure to these aqua massage jets might cause muscle soreness and extreme fatigue.

They were strict in implementing the proper swimwear (only spandex garments).

Swimming cap were given and lockers were provided. Bring your own towel. Slippers, liquid soap and shampoo were also provided in the locker room.

Reminders:

There is a store were you can buy or rent swimwear if the one you brought did not pass their requirements!

Eat before you come as you can't bring food. But there is a cafe where you can take a bite if you got hungry.

Picture taking is strictly prohibited for the privacy of the customers (sayang). But I got a shot when i walked around the cafe.

I personally liked the hot herbal pool (jasmine scented) with 38'C temperature.

This is a total relaxation for us. Our muscles pains and stiffness were relieved. When I saw the joy and the relaxed look of my parents, sulit ang binayad namin. Even if we didn't avail of the CCP vouchers, worth pa rin yung P550 na price. We plan to come back next month may promo man o wala. You have to experience it yourself to know what i mean. Thumbs up! for Ace Water Spa.
