Where to Stay in Baguio: Recedencia Alekzandra

For those budget travelers going to the summer capital of the Philippines, I recommend this transient house in Baguio City. 

Recedencia Alekzandria is located at Palma St., Baguio City. Walking distance lang sa Burnham Park and public market.

Sa gate pa lang... you will be welcomed by this cute pots of flowers.  

Sa reception naman, heto ang magwe-welcome sa inyo. This cute wooden couple statue are actually tissue holder and they are for sale for Php800 each.

And this is our unit. It is located in the third floor. May 3 rooms at spacious na sala. May kitchen na din at mga utensils. This unit is good for 15 persons (Php5000 per night). 

May hot water pero mahina ang tulo sa shower.

 Overall, malinis naman at well maintained ang mga rooms. Accommodating pa ang mga namamahala. May wifi din sa terrace.  It is recommended to book early if you plan to stay here. Mabilis mapuno ang mga units nila.

Dance of Thanksgiving in Sasmuan Pampanga

A day after the most attended religious event in the country, there is also a religious festival of thanksgiving in a small town in Sasmuan Pampanga. 

The Kuraldal Festival in Brgy. Santa Lucia in Sasmuan Pampanga is held every 10th day of January.

Unlike last year, we arrived in Santa Lucia at around 7:30pm. Since 8:00pm pa lang ang start ng mass, naglakad-lakad muna kami. indi mawawala ang mga nagtitinda kapag may festival. May nagtitinda ng mga damit at kasangkapan. Siyempre hindi mawawala ang mga nagtitinda ng kakanin.

Bago mag 8pm nagsimula ng dumating ang mga tao mula pa sa iba't-ibang lugar na may panata kay Apu Lucia. Ang daming tao. 

The mass was officiated by Most Rev. Archbishop Paciano B. Aniceto together with other priest in the Archdiocese. 

After the mass, nagsimula na ang kuraldal. Sigawan ang mga tao ay naguunahan sa pagpunas ng panyo sa Birhen at pagkuha ng mga bulaklak.

Dahil di kami makasingit, nakuntento na lang kami sa pagkuha ng picture at pagsayaw sa aming lugar.

Gaya ng ibang mga pagdiriwang, natapos ito sa fireworks.
