Paintings of 'Heartist' Joey Velasco

When I accidentally stumble upon a certain painting called "Hapag ng Pag-sa," I got interested in the painter.  I search for him in the internet but found out that he passed away last 2010. Joey Velasco was an entrepreneur who started painting to deal with the depression brought about by his illness. He suffered from kidney disease. I am trying to search for his website but with no luck, can't find it. Good thing I already saved jpeg files of his paintings when his website is still active.

Where to Eat in MOA: Buffet 101 International Cuisine

We were suppose to go to La Union for the homecoming treat of our dear friend Riza. But due to bad weather, plans changed. We decided to just dine out and have our chit chat for a whole day. Thus, our gastronomic experience begun!

Our options are Vikings and Buffet 101.  After consulting food bloggers (thanks!) and weighing the price difference, we decided to try Buffet 101.

Buffet 101 is located at the San Miguel by the Bay, just right at the back of the SMX Convention Center. It is near the MOA's eye and Microtel. if you are coming inside MOA, it is on the left side (facing the bay.) You will pass many paluto restaurants and a wet market. Vikings is located at the other side.

Buffet 101 features a five-star hotel dining setting with its lights and decor.

   
Buffet 101 offers a wide range of international dishes which includes French, American, Filipino, Japanese, Chinese and Italian.

 Dessert station:

Drink all you can! Soft drinks, Juice, Coffee, Tea, Fruit shake and Beer. They also have frozen yoghourt.

The Price:

Make sure you make your reservation before going there.

Message from Buffet 101:

Our reservation on lunch is 11:00am-11:30am.

Our reservation on dinner is 5:30pm-6:00pm.

Please come on time as we observe punctuality.

We give a grace period of 15 minutes.

If after 15 minutes from the time of your reservation and you still haven't arrived, we will transfer your name to our waiting list and let other waiting guests have the seats first.

We'd appreciate it if you can call us beforehand if you will be late for your reservation or if you will be cancelling or postponing your reservation so that your name will not be included in our blacklist for reservation.
