6D/5N Singapore Itinerary

...we booked our flight more than 9 months ago.

...this was our first family out of the country trip.

...we spent 6D/5N in Singapore.

I was in-charge in our itinerary for our trip. Mind you, it's not an easy task because we were so many. We were 17!

Day: 1

DEPARTURE FROM DMIA

Our flight was scheduled at 6:00am so we came in early. Be there early so that if just in case you will hold by the airport security or immigration, you have an ample time to resolve the matter. We were so early that the airport is not yet open. The airport opened at 4am. You can park your vehicles at DMIA for only Php 90.00/day.

After check-in, paying the Philippine travel tax (Php 1,620) and Terminal Fee (Php 400), fill up the Embarkation/Disembarkation Card before proceeding to the Immigration. So make sure you bring your ballpen.

Clearing the immigration is easy. Just prepare all your travel documents like passport, embarkation/disembarkation card, return ticket, hotel voucher and itinerary. For Filipinos traveling to Singapore, no visa necessary.  After clearing the immigration, you can take your breakfast at the food kiosks inside the pre-departure area.

Boarding time

The flight from Clark to Singapore took us more than 3 hours.

ARRIVAL IN SINGAPORE

We arrived at Changi International Airport Terminal 1.

Clear Singapore Immigration and Customs. Always secure the white arrival card. Claim your checked-in baggage. We were greeted by my cousin who works in SG.
After eating brunch at KFC at the airport, we rode the free Skytrain from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 to ride the MRT.  The (Changi Airport) MRT station is located at the basement level between terminal 2 and 3. At MRT we secure EZ-Link card for $12 (with $5 non refundable deposit) The Ezlink is valid for 5 years and it is accepted also at Sentosa Express. You can also use the remaining credits to pay for your drinks at 7/11 stores. If you will take the bus and trains a lot, you better get the Singapore Tourist Pass for $10 for an unlimited all-day ride.

We took the train from Changi to Farrer Park MRT. From Farrer Park MRT we followed the direction given by Mitraa Inn. We took Exit G and walk straight along Serangoon Road for 5 minutes towards Balestier road and till we saw Mitraa Inn @ Serangoon  on the left side of the road, after Shell Petrol station.

That's the end of the first leg of our Day 1 and the start of our 6D holiday in Singapore.
