Binibining Wanderlust
After 2 nights staying at Mitraa Inn, we transferred to Fragrance Hotel Emerald located at the vibrant Geylang, the red-light district of Singapore. From Serangoon, we took the bus and alighted at Sims Ave. bus stop at Lorong 7. Karamihan sa mga daan sa Singapore ay one way at sa binabaan namin ay Lorong na odd numbers. Para makapunta sa Lorong 6, kailangan namin lumipat sa kabilan daan para marating ang Lorong 6.
Our rooms were not ready yet because their standard check-in is 3pm. Since it's so early, we took our lunch first. After lunch, we came back around 2pm and the Filipino staff allowed us to go to our rooms.
Fragrance Hotel Emerald has 8 floors. But don't worry, it has a lift.
The hallway
Our room comes with complimentary water, coffee and tea replenished daily. It also comes with free wifi. Just get your wifi username and password at the reception. Malamig ang aircon, may tv na 6 ang channel. Malinis naman ang room ngunit hindi ang ilalim ng mga bed. Napakaraming alikabok. Mukhang ang winawalisan lang ay ang nakikita. Meron ding 2 maliit na ipis na naghahabulan sa may bench.
Fragrance Hotel Emerald is easily accessible by major roads, public buses and the MRT. There are also many eateries in the area. When night falls, you can see along the streets of Geylang the girls waiting for customers. But don't worry, it's safe enough to walk at night.
