After 9 long months of waiting....here it comes...our much
awaited Palawan adventure. Our fare is Php 1,200 for round trip ticket to
Puerto Princesa City via Airphilexpress. At may complimentary snacks pa.
I was lucky to have the window seat. Ng
malapit na kami, pagdungaw mo makikita mo talaga na puro bundok at
kagubatan. I wonder, nasaan ang mga bahay? Nasaan ang mga bayan?
Upon arrival at the airport, nagmamadali kami because the
tour guide is already waiting at the inn. Our flight was delayed by 30 minutes.
We were greeted by the driver of the inn just outside the airport. Three
Take the tricycle for only P10.00.
Because it’s our first time to visit the city, kumuha kami
ng package na. Gusto ko sana ng Do-It-Yourself
kaso baka mahirapan kami. Our tour agency is Hadefe. We only paid for
the Day 1 to 3 tour package.
This is our 4D/3N Puerto Princesa, Palawan itinerary.
Day 1: Honda Bay Island Hopping (Whole Day)
Day 2: Puerto Princesa Underground River (Whole Day)
Day 3: City Tour (Half day)
Day 4: Another City Tour (not included in the package)
According to Kuya Nelson (our guide from Hadefe), Puerto Princesa
is the biggest city in the Philippines in terms of land area. At sabi niya, ang
mga tao sa city ay honest. Hmmmm!
Hagedorn said.
"The City in a Forest because we exemplify a place where both man and
environment lives together in perfect harmony. Here in the Philippines,
we are the only city that has managed to breathe life into the forests
that we have once lost,"
"We are lucky in Puerto Princesa because our people care for their environment. They care for their future and they know that the loss will be incalculable if they do not take responsibility over their environment seriously,"
"Environment has done to man what man has done to society, and what society has done to the environment. There is a cosmic connection which we all partake, a oneness with the forest… with the galaxies… with the ocean. We can't live in isolation from nature and from our fellow human beings. Just as we are governed by laws made by man, nature likewise promulgates her own laws for all of us. So it is only fitting that we protect what is left of our resources, rehabilitate what has been destroyed and plan for the intelligent utilization of these resources for the benefit of our future generations,”
